Holy God

We praise you God,
    for you are holy,
        truly God,
        truly whole and consistent and one;

We praise you God,
    for your holiness does not separate you from us,
        but draws you toward us,
        into our brokenness and sin,
            our darkness and division;

We praise you God,
    that you invite us into your holiness,
        that you welcome us into your hospitable kingdom,
        that you make us whole, undivided, one,
        that you embrace us with compassion,
            even as you teach us to be compassionate;

We praise you that in your holiness,
        and in becoming holy,
    we find life and grace and renewal.

Holy God, we praise you and give you thanks.

Amen.
