A tiny stream,
   given enough time,
       can carve a canyon;
A thin blade of grass,
   in search of light,
       can split a rock;
A gentle breeze,
   relentlessly blowing,
       can shape a mountain;
A single person,
   with determination and persistence,
       can move a nation.

We praise you, God,
   for small, insignificant things
       that through faithfulness
       and perseverance,
   bring about significant transformations.
