Holy Week and Easter
The season of Holy Week, running from Palm Sunday to Easter Sunday remains one of my favourite times of the year, and is, perhaps, the most important festival in the life of the Church. I have long believed that this seasonrequires the best effort in terms of
creativity, energy and thoughtfulness
in order to draw God's people into a greater experience of the mysteries of suffering, betrayal, bloody cross and empty tomb.
The following resources are intended to help churches to create Holy Week worship events of depth, freshness and challenge. My prayer is that they may be used with love and sensitivity, and that lives may find some healing, restoration and wholeness through them, and the services of which they are a part.
