Deepen your experience of God through continuous learning.

A growing and vibrant spirituality is always based in ongoing learning, experience and reflection. At Sacredise, I'm committed to providing quality resources to challenge and inspire your spiritual quest. Designed for both leaders and pilgrims, these workshops, presented over a weekend or a series of evenings, are designed to stimulate dialogue and exploration, while providing new adventures in faith.

Below is a list of my most popular workshops, but I'm also happy to create new ones for specific needs. Contact me for more details or to discuss hosting a Sacredise Seminar in your community.

Worship - Getting Intimate with God:

This foundational workshop explores why worship is unavoidable, and how a mindful practice of worship can led to deep and satisfying intimacy with God.

The Transforming Power of Worship:

If worship does not make our daily living more meaningful and tranforming, we're wasting our time. This workshop explores the transforming impact that worship can have when we engage in it with openness and mindfulness, and offers tools to create a life of transforming worship.

The Worship Journey:

Over the centuries the practice of worship has developed a collection of simple, powerful practices that enable us to encounter the Divine, and be changed. This workshop explores these practices, and gives guidelines for using them to build worship experiences of depth and meaning.

Your Worshipping Self:

Spirituality is as personal as it is universal. Understanding the different motivations and personalities that we bring to our worship can lead us into exciting new ways of encountering God, while also enabling us to share worship in community with greater openness and less conflict.

From Sanctuary to Street:

If worship remains hidden in the recesses of the church building it is both irrelevant and meaningless. The spirituality that is so desperately needed in the world today is one that is lived daily, and that is alive, concerned and compassionate. This workshop explores how what we do in the sanctuary can change - for the better - how we live on the street.

Leading Worship:

Those who are called to guide others into encounters with God have a wonderful, awesome task. This workshop is designed to provide new insghts into this work and offers practical tips for preparing and leading worship gatherings that are transforming and deep.

Praying So People Say Amen:

Praying on behalf of a community is very different form praying on our own. The prayers of worship leaders carry the hopes and dreams, the needs and griefs of a whole community. This workshop offers principles to guide these prayers and ensure that we fulfil our responsibility both to God and to our people.

"Just" Worship:

Historically worship has often been a place where the injustices of our world are upheld and sometimes magnified. But, the Christ who was constantly confronting injustice calls us to be prophetic, so that our worship creates a model of justice for the world, and speaks a word of healing and welcome to the oppressed, the excluded and the broken. This workshop helps us to do just this.

Worship Without Walls:

Increasingly our worship gatherings represent people of a wide variety of cultures, generations and labguages. Bringing these different streams into one cohesive expression of worship can be a difficult task. This workshop offers some insights into culture and how it affects our worship, while providing practical tools for navigating our differences and bringing our people together.

Creativity in Worship:

Worship has always inspired the best of human creativity. When we bring our creative abilites to God, our worship moves into a whole new place, and our encounter with God remains vibrant and life-changing. But, there is also a danger that creative may become an end in itself. This workshop explores ways to develop your personal creativity, and apply this to your worship, while keeping God at the centre of it all.

Using Multi-media in Worship:

Our world communicates in images, sounds, movement, art and technology. More and more communities are using these tools to express and enhance the worship experience, but this can become expensive, confusing and, if badly done, distracting. This workshop provides some simple tools for those who want to embrace multimedia successfully.

Nuts & Bolts of Music in Worship:

Perhaps more than any other art form, music is the carrier of worship. It can also be the cause of much frustration and conflict in worshipping communities. But, when each instrument knows its role, and each song is orchestrated to fit seamlessly into the whole event, music becomes a doorway into encounter with God.

Every month you can receive ideas, resources and special offes to enhance your, and your community's, worship experience.
